Here is the broadcast and syndication history of HAWAII FIVE-O:
1968-1980 12 seasons:  278 episodes are produced totaling 284 hours (including the banned episode "Bored, She Hung Herself")
Fall 1981 (Cycle 1) The series goes into syndication with 200 episodes of the 283 available hours on 16mm film
This package contains episodes from seasons 1-9 and eight shows from season 10, and excludes all of the 2-part and 2-hour episodes, though "V for Vashon" is included
Fall 1988 (Cycle 2) The remaining 82 hours go into syndication (excluding "Six Kilos" and "Bored, She Hung Herself"); These 82 hour network-length versions are referred to as "New H5O"
This also creates a new 282-episode "Complete" series package on digital videotape (no more 16mm transfers)
WOR (NY) aired these 82 episodes, edited, through 2 full rotations starting in January 1989, then integrated them into the full 282-episode series rotation
A new telemovie package of 11 feature-length shows also goes into syndication, featuring the 2-hour episodes and re-edited versions of the 2-part episodes
WTBS aired 10 of the 11 telemovies as the TBS movie, weekdays in Sept 1990
May 1997 (Cable) The Family Channel pays to remaster 175 episodes and the 11 feature-length telemovies, with an exclusive cable window until Sept 1997. These episodes ran around 42 minutes, with severe edits and time compression.  Family Channel aired the series thru  August 12, 1998.  As part of this new syndication package, a previously unavailable episode, "Six Kilos", was also remastered and was included as part of the 175 package for the very first time.  "Six Kilos" was not made available to those stations still running the older 282-episode package
Sept 1997 (Cycle 3) The 175 remastered episodes are made available to local stations, with a 46-minute running time and a newly added commercial break.
July 2005 (Cycle 4) An additional 34 remastered episodes, primarily from seasons 1-6 and one from season 10, were added to the 175 episode package, for a total of 209 episodes in syndication
The pre-existing 283 episode non-remastered package was phased out by this point
It isn't known whether the remaining 74 non-remastered, non-edited episodes were available for syndication anymore at this point
Fall 2012 (Cycle 5) The 209 episode package was re-done with new edits and a 46-minute run time, using the HD transfers made for the DVDs that finished releasing in Jan 2012
This package is in use today by Me-TV and H&I.  The streaming sites use the full unedited 282 episodes in HD (the same as the DVD transfers)
